Its still a console................
as much as the hype may indicate such a price,
by the time of release if they think they can sell at 500-600, then they have reduced thier market catchment by at least 65% meaning that even working class families will not have ps3's for christmas.
dont get me wrong it "Will" sell but only if mummy and daddy are rich enough
expect to see major retailers doing finance deals.
The general console has always been affordable to the "not so wealthy"
so you either sell cheap and sell more and have a longer market run
OR
Sell high prices and put your product out the market with some return.
HD or no HD its not for me.
Xbox is nasty and yeah its going to be shadowed by the ps3 but the xbox is £194.92
and when your talking games consoles then thats exceptable price for the product, you cant add £400 on top of that.

pit bike
banging stereo
"20" minimotos
any other suggestions on what 600 would be better spent on?
