It must be the biggest ad ever. Where else would it be but in Las Vegas ?

h__p://news.com.com/2300-1026_3-6058410-1.html?part=rss&tag=6058410&subj=news

I've found the exact spot on google earth but the ad doesn't show up. Can anyone find it ?

The story is also referenced here :
h__p://cdn.maximonline.com/maximusa/index.html
It's even got a google earth link that shows the magazine.

I followed it and found something fishy. Inside the XML there is a reference to h__p://www.maximonline.com/maximusa/maximcover.png which contains the picture of the magazine. If you follow the link, the picture is superimposed on the terrain, so anyone who is not carefull will think there's really a giant poster there.

The most shocking fact is that the .kml format allows things like that !
It seems anyone can create a link and include a reference to any photo that is superimposed one the image shown by google earth. The good thing is that the images are shown as separate items in the tree view on the left, but still, anyone who is not carefull will think that this is the real image from the satellite.

And shame on Cnet for posting this !
