Help: Naming my graphic design venture |

a friend and myself are planning to start designing graphics to make a bit of money on the side. we plan on targeting small businesses and bands, who are looking for good quality artwork/logos etc at reasonable prices.
trouble is, we are etremely stumped for what to call this little venture.
does anyone have any ideas/suggestions about how to think of a good name?
any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I would not be concerned with naming that begins with an early letter in the alphabet. There are many successful businesses named with letters toward the end of the alphabet. My advice is to have the name describe the business, and not have an "abstract" name that doesn't directly relate to graphic design. You want people who see just the name of company, to know right away that you are in the design business. If people have to guess what business you are in, because the name doesn't relate, some people won't bother to figure it out. |

I'm with Rhino. I know when I go through the phone book I ignore the companies calledd AAAAAwhatever co. Figuring it has to be a cheesy company to pick a name like that.
Of course the name isn't going to do much for you anyway. You'll find that you will have to go knocking on a lot of doors to get business. |
