Mutiny.......we've got ourselves a mutiny on our hands!

I was glad that Limneos was online again. Yes I was.

Until I found out that my postcount (60+) was erased again (3rd time)

Until I discovered I was pushed back to the Pre Member ranks (3rd time).

I asked what the reason was. No reply at all.

I was mad.

That's when I discovered your mail in my Inbox.

A sigh of relief , familiar faces and names.

So I came to here an joined and I feel at home again.

A nice cold beer anyone?

Wasted Times looks good. Hell, it looks better than Limnoes.

Its the members that make the community special.

We even have a few lines at the top of this web
page to let people know where we came from.

Anyway, good to see you here. If you know any
other frustrated people that can't seem to find
their way back here, please let them know what

It has already been done and limneos deleted the
post and the account after he found out about it.

Bigger it is, easier it is for him to see also...
immediate deletion. That is why I had to PM
you guys individually.

Well, those are about the only reasons that I myslef have a real problem
with, things that have to do with $$$. Unless he had some other differences
in opinion with Drake, as I know Drake can become very undiplomatic in
doing things sometimes. ROFL

Aside from that, he had very little involvement with the community. We
were always the bait to get people to come through his portal. The first
time I ever saw him post in the forum was about a year after I joined
the site. When things are running along just fine, and someone who has
never participated, suddenly starts to rearrange things without saying
anything, it kind of rubs people the wrong way.

When he put the mobile section in. Lord and I watched it come up out of
nowhere and wondered if we were getting hacked... He never said anything
and just did it. We later found out that it was him... so we just let it go...

It was basically the lack of interest that he showed and unofficially, what he
expected out of the rest of us to maintain and keep his site running. There
never was the ..."what do you guys think of this..." type of dialog. And also
never telling anyone when the site was going down for maintenance.

I don't know where people got the idea that he was some kind of celebrity or
something and he was doing something wonderful... We were grateful to him for
providing the forum space, but that was about it. He never interacted with the rest
of us much and we did all the work to keep it going.

If he needed the server space to be paid for, I would have gladly rented the
space for or from him and kept the forum the way it was before the $$$ items
started showing up without this crap that we had gone thru in the last few months.
For me, its not about owning a site or prestige. Its all about, being with friends that
I have made over the years, belonging to and with people of similar interests.

Interesting reading.... I am one of those who started visiting Limneos before there was a forum per say...was just a little corner on the web where some cool shite could be found on occasion. Then the forum thing caught on some time later....now I finally hear some of how the place actually ran.....I never really understood or cared much about the hierarchy, but know that certain names here were major players over there as far as keeping things running.

Thanks for all of the work you guys put into "L". It was one of my all time favorite spots, and I know a few really cool ones. For what it's worth, it's places like this that make the web a community, and your efforts are meaningful and appreciated, even if you maybe don't hear it often. I have not had time to really kick it around here as of yet, but it looks good......de ja vu

Now all I got to do is get used to those F'n shout boxes and stop using them as search fields and I will be OK...lol.

JK, very informative, thank you for shedding some light on what really was going on. Like zipperhed, I was checking L since it was just a portal showing only links (it looked like an unsophisticated version of katz with frequent downtimes). I'm not new to the scene and I like to keep low profile most of the time (add busy as hell on top of that - talking about long hours). Doesn't mean that I don't care or not checking what's going around. $$$ was always a problem of the scene, actually GREED is and will always be. The pillar of the scene is "FREE for ALL" and it should be that way, or else it doesn't work.
Personally I don't know anybody, neither Elias, nor any of you guys so I can not say much about you. I really don't know what kind of problems you have with life, how busy you are, etc. For that reason I can not judge anybody. My opinion is that if you want to call somebody a friend mutual understanding, trust and sharing of common goals and treating each other with respect should exist and that didn't exist at L, among you I think.
I can, though, comment on the good things I saw there and see also here now: your hard work and your genuine and sincere effort to keep a community of friends and stick to the true spirit of the game. That is what is needed to keep this forum running and I hope it will stay that way: sharing among friends.

Yes, thank you JKF. That was very informative. I was a member of limneos i guess toward the end. I really enjoyed the sharing and meeting new people. Then all of a sudden it goes poof. Im like WTF? So for like 2 months I keep trying to get on the site to no avail. Then all of a sudden it's back up, but as you guys say, it was on auto pilot. Lucky for me I saw the post I think JKF made about wasted times. It's a good thing I saw it when I did, because It was deleted soon after that.

Well, I guess what Im trying to get at, is I'm a happy camper . I love this site. The people here treat me like im part of the family. So thanks for you southern hospitality, it really means alot.
