Long URL and File Names...

I have a favor to ask from those of you that are using

extra long file names.<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b> <b style="color:#FFA34F"></b> Its killing the database and the
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
search function.<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b> <b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
Can you guys limit the total filename to about 32 characters
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
long at most and not exceed 80 characters for any URL.<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
The text search function used by phpBB sucks and it gets
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
confused when it gets too long and stop looking for matches
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
when it encounters an error.<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b> Also the SQL becomes error prone
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
because many of the long strings start looking the same due to
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
trunctation.<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b> <b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
Also please try to name your upload files with short meaningless names

as this will keep people searching places like rapidshare and other upload
<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
sites with the google trick,<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b> unable to figure out what is in the file.<b style="color:#FFA34F"></b>
